The process begins after you send us an inquiry for doula services. Our agency owners will have a brief conversation with you to understand your wants and needs for your birth experience. From that point on you will be contacted by a team of professional doulas hand selected from the agency to meet with you. During this meeting they will review the contract and answer your questions all while learning more about you.

 

Around 30 weeks your doula team will meet with you again to help prepare you for the birth by creating a birth plan, demonstrating pain coping techniques, and educating you on the birth process and common interventions. Once you go into labor your on-call doula will support you over the phone until you request their presence at the birth. Once she arrives she will remain by your side through every contraction supporting you in the way you need most, until a couple hours after birth and your new family is bonding.

 

Once your family has settled home your doula team will visit one last time to help you process your experience and create a postpartum plan to ensure you get the best start at motherhood.
