Meet Your B. Birth Services Doula: Stacey Gratz
A few weeks ago Beth and I began chatting and brainstorming over the phone. Through our interactions on several social media websites we had noticed that there is a huge lack of professional, compassionate doula support for our area, and quite frankly that is not acceptable!
We have been working hard to modify our practice and are now pleased to announce B. Birth Services is the first full service doula agency in northwest Ohio. We've been interviewing the brightest and most caring and talented women to join our team of birth professionals and now boast two teams of professional doulas as well as three encapsulation specialists and two licensed massage therapists.

What do you do at B. Birth Services?
I am newly sub-contracting as a birth doula.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up just outside of Bluffton, OH
Where do you live currently?
I currently live in FIndlay, OH
Who makes up your family?
I live with my husband, Tyler, and our dog, Ollie. I grew up with my parents and 3 sisters, and now have many in-laws.
Favorite books?
I enjoy health (like Green Beauty Guide by Julie Gabriel) and spiritual related books (like Not A Fan by Kyle Idleman), or any doula or soap books to help me learn more.
Favorite magazines?
I haven't read any magazines in a while but I enjoy blogs and podcasts.
Where will we find you on weekends?
My husband and I enjoy taking day trips during our weekends off.

Ice cream :)

What’s the most important thing in your life?
My relationship with The Lord and others around me.
Why did you decide to become a doula?
I became interested in becoming a doula because I started seeing all the different types of births and realized that people just don't know how many options they have, which sometimes leads to negative birth experience. I want to help people get informed so they can make a decision, based on facts, of what's best for them, and help support them through that process.
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.
I enjoying making soap and other homemade bath products with my mother.
Education and training?
I am working on my certification with DONA International, and I am excited to pursue additional opportunities as I build my business.
